Day 1 Departure from UK
Day 2 Arrive in Hong Kong (D)
The excitement begins as your plan touches down in Hong Kong international airport. Hong Kong, a longtime gateway to China and much of Asia, is a rewarding destination in its own right. It boasts dynamic modern commercial districts, trendy shopping areas, traditional tiny lanes teeming with shops and cafes. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your luxury hotel, with a dazzling array of shops and restaurants.
Day 3 Hong Kong (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Repulse Bay / Aberdeen Harbour /Stanely Market / Victoria Peak
We spend today enjoying this vibrant city’s many sights and experiences. A half-day guided orientation tour will take us past Repulse Bay to the colourful floating community of Aberdeen and Vibrant Stanely Market, a favourite barging shopping area. Then a scenic drive takes us a top Victoria Peak for a 360-degree view of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the surrounding harbours and outer islands.
Day 4 Hong Kong / Qingdao (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Wong Tai Sin Temple / Chi Lin Nunnery / Avenue of Stars / Victoria Harbour /Jade Market
Today’s sightseeing starts from Wong Tai Sin Temple, one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong with 75 years long history, and
Chi Lin Nunnery, modeled on Tang-dynasty architecture only in traditional ways. Continue the journey to the Avenue of Stars, which hosts a variety of music and dance performance. An optional excursion is available to the Victoria Harbour, one of the world’s busiest and most impressive natural harbours, where you can enjoy the striking coastline of Hong Kong and the countless container vessels, junks, sampans and pleasure craft gliding around the harbour Here we also have the option of enjoying breathtaking and amazing views by luxury star ferry (The boating fee is not included in the quotation). This is followed by a visit to the Jade Market. Collectors and jade lovers gather at this unique market, where small stalls display everything from rare and valuable jade carvings to small and inexpensive trinkets. Take evening flight to Qingdao.
Day 5 Qingdao (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Mt. Laoshan / Taiqing Palace / Badashui River / Longtan Waterfall Known as a “pearl on the Yellow Sea”, Qingdao is admired for its blue seas and abundance of trees and flowers, with Mt. Laoshan as a backdrop. Its historical culture, variety of religion, civil traditions, village customs, and holiday celebration make it widely appealing to tourists both at home and abroad. Depart this morning to Mt. Laoshan, a fine mountain region with a famous Taoist monastery, the Taiqing Palace. Located about 30 kilometres southwest of Qingdao, is known for its oddly shaped rocks, ancient trees, and crystal-clear springs. Today we have chance to visit famous Badashui River and Longtan Waterfall as well.
Day 6 Qingdao (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Zhanqiao Pier / Badaguan / “4. May” Square / Sculptural Area Today’s sightseeing starts from Zhanqiao Pier, the symbol of the city. Originally built in 1891 as a naval pier, the south end of the bridge is a Chinese style octagon pavilion standing in contrast to the towering modern buildings looking down in the background. Then visit the Badaguan, literally the eight passes feature Russian, British, French, German, and Danish constructions, known for its gardens, courtyards, villas and bathing beaches. The journey will be continuing to the “4, May” Square located between the new municipal government building and the bay, which got its name in memory of the May 4th movement. In the afternoon visit the Sculptural Area on Donghai Park.
Day 7 Qingdao / Penglai (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Penglai Pavilion / Penglai Water City / Old Ancient Ship Museum Today you will go to Penglai (approximately 4 hours), renowned as fairyland under heaven and located at the northern most tip of Shandong Peninsula. Spend the afternoon exploring Penglai Pavilion, one of the four famous pavilions in China seated on the hill of Dayashan close to the sea in the north of Penglai city. Then to the Penglai Water City, one of the oldest military harbours in ancient China. Complete the day watching the Old Ancient Ship Museum, which focusing on the role of maritime commerce. Then you will move to Yantai on the west. (approximately 1 hour).
Day 8 Penglai / Yantai / Tai’an (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Binhai Road / Moon Bay / APEC conference cent er / Golden Beach / Yuhuangding Park / We spend today enjoying this beautiful city’s many sights and experiences. A half-day guided orientation tour will take us past Binhai Road, Moon Bay and APEC Conference Cent er The journey will be continuing to the picturesque Golden Beach. This is followed by a visit to the Yuhuangding Park, named after the Yuhuang Temple is famous for its fairyland-like view resembling Penglai. Our journey continues by train to Taian (No 4944 / 21:40)
Day 9 Tai’an (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Dai Temple / Mount Tai shan / South Heaven Gate / Heaven Street / Jade Emperor Peak Take coach to Mt. Tai shan in the morning. No visit to China is complete without a visit to one of its sacred Daoist Mountains, of which Tai shan is perhaps the most revered Mt Tai, located in the cent er of Shandong Province, north of Taian City, and is consider by Chinese to be one of the nation’s five “holiest” mountains. Today’s sightseeing starts from Dai Temple. The main building known as the Hall of Celestial Gift, is one of the three greatest palatial buildings in China. You will visit the South Heaven Gate, Heaven Street and Yuhuang Ding (Jade Emperor Peak). Jade Emperor Peak is the highest point of Mt. Tai. A large rock, inscribed with the Chinese words for “supreme summit” marks the end of the trek here.
Day 10 Tai’an / Qufu / Ji’nan(B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Confucius Temple / Confucius Mansion / Confucius Family Cemetery / Jet Spring Depart for Qufu, birthplace of Confucius(Kong Fu Zi 551-479 BC). Visit the Temple complex, family mansion and Confucian Forest, the best-preserved cemetery in China where the great sage lies entombed. Today, the buildings store and display important historical records, art and cultural artifacts. Confucius’s tomb is in a cemetery just north of Qufu. Depart to Jinan by coach (about 2.5 hours). Jinan is also commonly known as “city of springs” for its profusion of natural springs, the water here neither rises substantially during rainy days, nor dries in drought. In Jinan visit the Baotu Spring known as the “No. 1 Spring on the Earth”. Our journey continues by train to Beijing (No 2598 / 21:55)
Day 11 Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Tian’anmen Square / Forbidden City / Summer Palace Arrive at Beijing in the early morning, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. No visit is complete without a walk through Tiananmen Square and the phenomenally beautiful Forbidden City. Superlatives fails to do justice to the complex to the complex of palaces and hidden places, where emperors held court for 500 years. Then travel to Empress Dowager’s extravagant Summer Palace on serene Kunming Lake.
Day 12 Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Great Wall / Ming Tombs A highlight of any Beijing stay is a walk on one of the Eight Wonders of the world--the Great Wall at Badaling Path. Stroll ancient promenades, step into watchtowers, and photograph the wall rising and falling over impossibly steep mountain ridges will become life time memories. The journey will be continuing to Change, one of the Ming Tombs once lavish burial chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. End your day with yet another highlight, an evening at the Peking Opera.
Day 13 Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: The White Cloud Taoist Temple (Baiyunguan) / Hutong Rickshaw Tour
Special Offer: Beijing Duck Today’s sightseeing starts from the White Cloud Taoist Temple(Baiyunguan), the largest and the only one of its kind open to the public. After lunch, explore the hidden alleyways of old Beijing by Hutong Rickshaw Tour, which is designed to offer a glimpse into the lives of ordinary people. At the end of the day, indulge in a succulent Beijing Duck.
Day 14 Beijing / Home (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.
