This trip offers Health Care Professionals a unique opportunity to experience Acupuncture, Chinese Massage, Cupping Therapy, Face reading, Tongue diagnosis and other specialised treatments in the Country their origin.
You will be catered for throughout this trip and bear witness to the magnificence of Chinese culture as well as attending four morning clinic lectures on advanced Chinese Medicine by the Professors of Beijing University that will include practical sessions and pain management.
Medicine will remain a prevalent topic during your trip with further medical lectures in Xian and Shanghai blended with visits to resorts and places of interest.
Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Scotland
Day 2: Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Tian’anmen Square / The Forbidden City / Hutong
Morning medical lessons (8am to 12am) After lunch,visit Tian’anmen Square, the central heart of Beijing. Walking through the Tian’anmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace), explore the intriguing Forbidden City, one of the most complete ancient imperial palaces in the world.
Day 3: Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: The Great Wall / The Ming Tombs Special Offer: Peking Opera Morning medical lessons(8am to 12am) After lunch ,visit Great wall---A highlight of any Beijing stay is a walk on one of the Eight Wonders of the world--the Great Wall at Badaling Path. Stroll ancient promenades, step into watchtowers, and photograph the wall rising and falling over impossibly steep mountain ridges will become life time memories. An evening at the Peking Opera.

Day 4: Beijing (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: The Summer Palace / The Temple of Heaven Special Offer: Beijing Roast Duck
Morning medical lessons(8am to 12am) After lunch, visit Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. At the end of the day, indulge in a succulent Beijing Duck.
Day 5: Beijing / Xi’an (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: The Bell Tower / The Ancient City Wall Special Offer: Tang Dynasty Show
Morning medical lessons(8am to 12am) After lunch,Fly to Xi’an, gateway to the ancient Silk Road that once linked China with travelers from as far away as Rome and Istanbul. The capital of eleven dynasties, Xi’an is one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Upon arrival sightseeing the Bell Tower, the symbol of Xi’an, and the Ancient City Wall. It is one of the best examples in China of an outstanding traditional city defence system and urban design. In the evening, indulge in a Tang Dynasty Show featuring music, dance, and traditional costumes.

Day 6: Xi’an (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Terra cotta Warriors and Horses / Big Wild Goose Pagoda / Shaanxi Provincial Museum An extraordinary day of sightseeing shows one of the greatest archaeological excavations of the 20th century: the army of life-size Terra cotta Warriors and horses. After coming back to the city, visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most distinctive and outstanding Buddhist pagodas in China. Then to the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, a museum exhibits the historical relics and precious art treasures from Hand and Tang dynasties.
Day 7: xian/ Shanghai (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Jade Buddha Temple Special offer: Acrobatic Show Take morning flight to Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial cent er of China. Shanghai is a striking blend of eastern and western cultures, with European-style buildings stand alongside typical Chinese structures and ancient temples. Today’s sightseeing starts from mystical Jade Buddha Temple, one of the most famous and attractive Buddhist temples in Shanghai. Tonight, enjoy the daring performance of Shanghai’s famous Acrobatic Show.
Day 8-9: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Bund / Nanjing Road / Yu Garden / Oriental Pearl TV Tower Today tour the diverse attractions of this vibrant, trend-setting metropolis. Stroll Bund waterfront lined with Art Deco building from colonial era and the sleek new skyscrapers of her futuristic Pudong District. The journey will be continuing to the Nanjing Road, one of the two major commercial streets in China (in addition to Wangfujing in Beijing). Step into the past as you cross zigzag bridge into the famous Yu Garden, one of the remarkable representations of the gardens in ancient southern Chinese-styles. This is followed by a visit to the highest TV tower in Asia, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower like large and small pearls dropping on a plate of jade has become a new icon of this dream like city.
Day 10: Shanghai / Zhouzhuang / Shanghai (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Zhouzhuang Today takes coach to Zhouzhuang, one of the best waterside towns with more than 900 years history. The town is famous for the small water lanes and the riverside ancient buildings. Highlights in Zhouzhuang include Water lanes & Stone bridges. According to archaeologist that almost every piece of the ancient town is an art work. Over recent years, more and more tourists have been coming to this town.
Day 11: Shanghai / Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: West Lake / Lingyin Temple Depart for Hangzhou by coach, the city Marco Polo once called “the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world.” With perfect juxtaposition of water and mountain, the city has rich historical and cultural relics. Your first stop will be a cruise across West Lake to experience peace and serenity. Your journey will be continued to the nearby Lingyin Temple, one of China’s ten largest Zen (Chan) Temples famous for the Buddhist iconographical figures carved into its side.
Day 12: Hangzhou / Suzhou (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Inquiring About Tea at Dragon Well / Tiger Hill This morning depart for Suzhou by coach, a city known as museum of cultural relics famous for its resplendent gardens and beautiful scenery. More recently, new set of top-ten views were added to the modern literary tourist’s itineraries. Inquiring About Tea at Dragon Well is one of them. This is followed by a visit to the Tiger Hill. With more than 2500 years history, the tiger hill Pagoda in the park is the landmark of Suzhou city.
Day 13: Suzhou / Shanghai (B/L/D)
Sightseeing: Lingering Garden Today’s sightseeing starts from another Suzhou gem, the Lingering Garden, one of the four most famous classical gardens in China. Suzhou is known for its embroidery, silk and gardens. The gardens exemplify delicate designs, containing hills and ponds, terraces, corridors and towers. Before returning to shanghai learn about silk manufacturing and visit the Embroidery Institute. The rest of the day will be free at leisure.
Day 14: Shanghai/Home (B) Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.
